The Red Lion
Opened in 2017 after a 2 year renovation by Peter Leonard who bought and restored this beautiful 17th Century thatched pub which had been severely neglected over the previous decades.
Gas fires were ripped out to expose Victorian ones, which in turn were removed to reveal huge inglenooks. The grotty pool room was transformed into the Victorian Dining Room. Lino was removed to be replaced by Cambridge Pamments.
Peter scoured restoration yards, antiques shops and Ebay for art, furniture and other accoutrements. Every detail was considered and addressed with thoughtful consideration.
